FUE Lateral Slit Hair Transplant
It is the most common type of operation in hair transplantation preferences. Worn hair follicles cannot provide the necessary help to the hair follicle. For this reason, over time, the hair weakens day by day and leads to hair loss. The underlying causes are usually hormonal, hereditary or genetic reasons. Likewise, hair loss is frequently seen in cancer and leukaemia patients who have undergone chemotherapy treatment. People prefer to use various care products to prevent hair loss. In addition, medication, spray, lotion, shampoo and different laser treatment methods are used to prevent hair loss. The definitive solution applied by individuals who cannot get results from these protection methods is hair transplantation operation.
In general, people know the operation process as FUE method. However, it should be known that FUE hair transplantation does not cover the entire operation process.
In the operation performed with the FUE method, it is only the process of removing hair grafts with a device with adjustable rotation speed.
With the help of a special micro FUE motor, the hair follicles in the donor area are easily removed one by one. The whole process is completed with the device without the need for any incision.
In the process of transplanting hair follicles to the designated area, it is divided into categories in terms of surgical techniques. As a result of the advancement of technology and the use of better techniques, the success rate increases in the results obtained. Lateral Slit Technique
In classical hair transplantation, surgical instruments are used to open lateral microchannels at angles deemed necessary by the doctor. Surgical instruments are used to make small micro incisions in the skin in the designated transplantation area. Hair follicles taken from the donor area are then transplanted into the opened microchannels.
There are some important points to be considered during these procedures. One of these points is that the lateral microchannels opened should be suitable for the skin and hair structure of the person. Sufficient depth and correct angles are required for conformity. Otherwise, a hair transplantation result called grass man may occur.
Likewise, as a result of the wrong procedure, the death of hair follicles that have not adapted to the transplantation area can also be seen. This will cause a failed hair transplantation. For this reason, it should be determined whether it is suitable for Lateral Slit technique before hair transplantation.
FUE Hair Transplant (Lateral Slits)
The duration of the hair transplant operation varies depending on the health status of the person and the number of hair follicles. However, on average, based on 4000 grafts of hair follicles and if no complications occur, the operation is completed in 8 hours.

Note: This method is generally known and named as FUE method. This issue is one of the well-known mistakes. FUE method is not a transplantation method. It is the process of removing hair follicles from the donor area by means of FUE micro motor.
If We Are Ready, Let´s Start The Hair Transplantation Process
Day 1
Pre-operative controls:
The person who will have FUE hair transplantation procedure is first subjected to a blood test and all controls are performed. After the operation, a forehead line is drawn to rehearse how the patient will look after the operation. In this way, the patient is given information and motivation about the patient before and after. The patient has the chance to express his/her wishes after the rehearsal. If the patient approves the rehearsal process, the hair transplantation operation is started.Anaesthesia Procedure
During the hair transplantation procedure, local anaesthesia is applied with a needle. This procedure is performed using the Comfort-in anaesthesia device to reduce pain. The Comfort-in device has a high pressure feature due to the fact that it is completely needle-free. The high pressure allows it to penetrate easily under the skin. With this method, it is aimed to numb the donor area painlessly. The Comfort-in device is not used alone to provide complete numbness in painless anaesthesia. Since it is deemed insufficient on its own, the procedure is continued with the help of local anaesthetic needles. It would be more logical to consider the Comfort-in device as an auxiliary anaesthetic device to alleviate pain. During anaesthesia, the needles are preferred in a personalised way and the pain and pains are kept to a minimum. In this way, it is aimed for the patient to have a healthy and comfortable hair transplantation procedure.
FUE Procedure (Haarentnahme)
The most suitable area for hair transplantation in hair surgery procedures is the back of the head. The area called the donor area is the place where DHT is not very effective and has healthy hair follicles. The area at the back of the head is located two fingers above the nape and between the two ears. This area is the primary reason for preference because it is efficient as a donor.
During the operation, the hair follicles of the person are removed from the donor area. A micro FUE motor with a specially adjustable rotation speed is used. In this process, it is aimed to remove the hair follicles in the donor area one by one without any damage. Thanks to this method, no incision is made while the hair follicles are removed outside the skin. Since there is no incision and the hair follicles are not damaged, the procedure is very successful and convenient. As a result of the removal of the hair, the assistant doctors organise the hair follicles and prepare them for the transplantation process. In this way, assistant doctors take the responsibility of making the hair follicles suitable for transplantation. While the hair follicles are made ready and suitable, it is important that they do not lose their structure. In order to preserve the vitality of the hair follicles, the hair is protected in a container with a special lotion. During this procedure, surgical hygiene and sterilisation rules are followed. Hair extraction time varies depending on the number of hair grafts taken from the donor area.
Necessities and Food Break
After the FUE process, i.e. hair removal is completed, a meal break is given. The break time is approximately 30 minutes. During this time, the patient has the freedom to fulfil his/her personal needs. In addition, it is possible to consume your request from the dishes on our menus to balance blood pressure. In this way, your stomach is full and your blood pressure balance is ensured.
Anaesthesia
After the lunch break, the procedures are resumed. There are some necessary procedures for the transplantation of the hair follicles taken from the donor area. The first of these procedures is the opening of the necessary microchannels. Before the procedure, local anaesthesia is applied again along the forehead line.
Opening of Micro Channels and Transplantation Stage of Hair Roots
After local anaesthesia, hair grafts taken from the donor area are transplanted to the target area. In order to transfer the grafts, microchannel opening is required. This procedure is performed with the help of a surgical cutting metal tool used in classical hair transplantation treatment. The canal opening process is created in widths deemed necessary by the doctor. The widths may vary according to the patient and the doctor’s initiative. As a result of different widths, depths, angles and numbers, the process of creating lateral micro channels (micro incisions in the skin) is completed. The main reason for this difference is that the structure of the hair grafts taken from the donor area and the skin structure of the person differ from person to person. The hair grafts, which are kept in a special lotion container to maintain their vitality, wait ready for the procedure. Then, the hair grafts are carefully placed one by one into the microchannels opened for transfer to the target area. As a result of the placement process, hair transplantation is completed.
- There may be more than one hair follicle (hair strand) in a graft. For this reason, it is necessary to plan well in advance to obtain a natural appearance after the operation. For an attractive and aesthetic appearance, the distribution of hair follicles should be carefully and planned. After the planned hair transplantation, the procedure is finalised by making the last controls.
- Only one hair strand can be found in a hair follicle. This situation causes a single hair to grow out of the skin from a hair follicle. This situation never changes at any time.
- The canal opening process is one of the factors that significantly affect the quality of hair transplantation and the success of the procedure.
After the FUE hair transplant operation, the rules that the patient must follow are explained to him. Likewise, the patient is discharged after the medications and instructions to be used are explained to the patient in detail.
Day 2
After the operation, the tissues are very sensitive.
This situation should be acted without forgetting. In order to avoid unwanted situations, it is recommended that the patient rest at the hotel or specified residence addresses.
The patient should rest by resting, avoid sudden movements and act carefully by protecting against impacts.
Day 3
If there is no problem in the patient as a result of the controls, the first hair washing procedure is performed.
Afterwards, the patient is informed in detail how to perform the washing process on his/her own. After the first hair washing process, PRP treatment is applied for the rapid healing of damaged tissues.
PRP treatment also nourishes the hair follicles and allows them to adapt to the transplantation area faster. After 1 session of PRP treatment, the patient is discharged.
